Structural damage and fracture under extreme service conditions<br>Based on the above analysis, it can be concluded that a breakthrough in the theory of structural damage and fracture under extreme service conditions in the next 5-10 years will drive the development of the whole discipline, the key of which is to scientifically describe the phenomenon of cross-scale damage under multi coupling cooperation. Based on the damage and fracture theory of multi-scale and multi field coupling, it is expected to form a more accurate life prediction method, provide a scientific basis for the repair and remanufacturing of key components, and establish a life monitoring technology for key structures.<br>2. Life cycle design theory based on failure mechanism<br>In the stage of conception and design of mechanical products, preventive design can be carried out according to the risk and failure rule in the whole life process, which is the highest pursuit of scientific research on safe service of mechanical products. Life cycle design refers to the whole process of planning, design, manufacturing, operation, maintenance, remanufacturing and recycling of mechanical products and parts, so as to realize the optimal design of overall performance in the whole life cycle of products.<br>
