Helping behavior is an important manifestation of prosocial behavior and has an important impact on children's social development. This research mainly adopts the observation method and interview method. By understanding the current situation of helping behaviors of children in mixed-age classes, it is conducted from five dimensions: the age and gender of the helpers and recipients, the type of helping behavior, the reasons for receiving help, helping strategies and helping feedback After analysis, the following characteristics are summarized: 1. Most of the helpers are children in middle and large groups, and most of the recipients are children in small groups; 2. Boys are more helpful than girls; 3. The main type of help for children in mixed-age classes is the main helper; 4. The main reasons for children in mixed-age classes to receive help are social needs and material problems; 5. The main helping strategy for children in mixed-age classes is physical help; 6. The main feedback for children in mixed-age classes is no feedback. Combining the current situation and characteristics, put forward corresponding educational suggestions to teachers.
