The resonant mold field distribution of the tyhertz cavity of the metal striped band gap structure is simulated by numerical method. The quality of the cavity is calculated. The effect of metal stripe structure and defect cavity geometry parameters on resonant characteristics is analyzed in detail. The single-order and high-order resonant modes with frequencies falling within the metal striped band gaps are obtained, and the larger the horizontal size of the defect cavity, the higher the order of the resonant molds.
