7.3 Appearance requirements of bearingThe working surface and matching surface of the inner and outer rings and rolling element of bearing shall be uniform and homogenous, and be free from such defects as abrasion, indentation, rust stain, scratch and misrun. The bearing appearance shall be free from such defects as burr, abrasion, scratch, stain and subsidence. The joint of the assembly chamfer and bore surface of bearing inner ring shall be in smooth transition without any sharp edge. For the bearing with coating, the coating layer should be uniform and homogenous. The cage pocket shall not squeeze the rolling element, shall be free from obvious dent, scratch and misrun on its surface, and shall not be left with corrosion, crack, fold, burr and sharp edge; the working surface of cage must beflat and smooth without any scar.On non-working surface of rings such as chamfer, occasionally one dent, or knocking mark within the size of 2 mm length and 0.5mm depth was permitted. On roller, any knocking mark is not allowed. The bearing cannot be mounted until the appearance inspection was carried out. The specific inspection items and requirements are detailed in Table 7.1
