Display & Presentation 15% Purpose: 1.To develop the skills utilized in communicating with parents and program staff regarding current issues relevant to families and early learning and care professionals. 2.To choose developmentally appropriate resources for children and parents about selected issues relating to childhood and families. 4.To present content that accurately reflects the values in the ECE profession relating to diversity and inclusion when communicating with children and families. 3.To reflect on one’s level of comfort regarding issues concerning: family make-up, cultural and racial considerations, abilities, and biases.5. To provide ECE students with opportunities to be a resource person for their peers. Guidelines: 1.For your assigned Current Issue create a professional display that could be used to inform parents and educators. 2.A display is different than a paper – it focuses on key issues relating to families, and it designed to attract and keep the attention of the audience; in this case a parent or educator. It can be interactive provides audience with opportunities to explore the ideas3.Include a selection of resources for further learning and resources to support children’s understanding of the issue such as children’s books, games, puzzles, etc. 4.The research related to the topic is clearly presented in the format of a table/wall display 5.The display is professional and attractive through the creative use of borders, graphics and illustrations (respecting all copyright limitations), and interactive materials.
