This specification, in combination with core kit specific drawings, defines all requirements for the foam core kit and its individual pieces. It covers all blade types and application specific core kits such as upwind and downwind blade shells, leading and trailing edge webs and bulkheads. LMWP will provide the supplier with a drawing defining the materials, geometry and the corresponding tolerances for each core kit. The supplier can create drawings for the nesting pattern and the individual pieces of the core kit if desired. All supplier drawings must be approved by LMWP before core kit production can start. Suppliers must get written approval from LMWP before making any changes to the product or production process, which potentially has impact on quality or physical properties. All changes must be captured and approved in the core kit drawings before implementation. The following general blade requirements are also applicable:
