2.7 Alignment Bushings 2.7.1 Tooling balls are not to be used without written authorization from TSL 2.7.2 For all parts 1000mm and under in the largest dimension, four alignment bushings are required, per part, to facilitate fixture alignments and flatness checks. 2.7.3 For parts greater than 1000mm, additional tooling bushings are required, spaced evenly across the base of the primary structure. Alignment bushing layout will require explicit approval by TSL 2.7.4 In the case where one fixture holds both a left hand and a right hand part, unique alignment coordinate locations is required for each part. The physical bushings can be shared, as long as there are unique coordinates for each part. See Figure 2 below for an example.
