Although the global rubber price trend is weak in 2018, the potential natural rubber production capacity is at an historical high. Stimulated by the strong price of rubber from 2010 to 2012, the area of natural rubber plantation continued to expand, and the rubber plantations that were expanding at that time around 2018 gradually entered a high-yield period. Of course, major rubber producing countries have also taken measures to limit production and export to try to reduce the pressure from the supply side, but the effect may not be ideal. According to the latest ANRPC report, as of the end of September, global natural rubber production increased by 1.5% to 9.797 million tons. It is predicted that the output of natural rubber will increase by 3.7% this year to 13.85 million tons. However, due to weather factors, natural rubber production in India and Vietnam may decline.
