In the ab plane, the Zn II centers are linked by the terminalcarboxylate groups and chelating NO donors of ligands toassemble into a 2D grid structure. It should be noted that meso-helical chains (P + M) built from binuclear Zn II units and Lligands are observed within the 2D network. These meso-helical chains are thus generated around the crystallographic2(1) axis with a pitch of 9.850(4) Å, which is the same as thelength of the b axis (Figure 2a,b). The adjacent 2D networkfurther assembles into a 3D supramolecular framework via C−H···N hydrogen bonds [C−H···N: 3.518(8) Å] between theC−H groups of the quinoline rings and the N atoms of thecoordinated DMF molecules and C−H···O hydrogen bonds[C−H···O: 3.674 (8) Å] between the C−H groups of thequinoline rings and the O atoms of the carboxylate groups(Figure S7). The 3D framework possesses one type of 1Dchannel extending along the c axis (Figure 2c). The largesquare channel has the aperture dimensions of 5.0 × 4.2 Å 2 ,with the MeOH and coordinated DMF molecules protrudinginto the channels.
