For the standard Summation case, it is a well-known result that there tends to be 'exploitation of the great by the small' (Olson, 1965: 29). That is, larger members of social groups more than carry their share, at least comparatively speaking. As a corollary, the more unequal the degree of greatness, the more the total provision will be. Despite the force of this argument, however, inequality does not have very great impact upon under-provision unless the disparity of weight becomes very large indeed.
