Main lines of the progression in rocket engine manufacturing in Russia for a period till 2015 have been under consideration. The priority problems in the field of space-rocket engine design, within the framework of the Russia Federal Space Program for a period of 2006-2015, are the following: the provision of reliable operation of engines for launchers and space vehicles and their modernization, completion of development of engines for created launchers of medium and heavy class “Sojuz-2” and “Angara”, creation of oxygen-hydrogen and oxygen-kerosene LRE of next generation for launcher upper stages and orbit transfer vehicles, development of reusable LRE for the reusable rocket space system, development of engines with utilization of solar energy for advanced transport units, making of next-generation electric thrusters with increasing specific impulse, power and service life, introduction of new carbon-carbon and carbon-phenolic materials into propulsion system construction parts. Realization of the planned works will essentially expand potentialities of Russia in the field of space activity.
