Under typical experimental conditions,55 the constants g2D and g1D are positive and of order unity. Theoretically, these effective interaction parameters depend in a complicated way on the ratio of screening length to Fermi wavelength and can have either sign. We do not give the formulas here, but refer to the reviews by Al’tshuler and Aronov211 and Fukuyama.212 In 2D the interaction correction δσee shares a logarithmic temperature dependence with the weak localization correction δσloc, and both corrections are of the same order of magnitude. In 1D the temperature dependences of the two effects are different (unless τ ∝ T−1/2). Moreover, in the 1D case δσee ≪ δσloc if lT ≪ l.
