One Cycle: 1) Whilst the appliance is empty, us a force gauge to apply a pull force of 15kg to the appliance handle. Pulling the handle away from the appliance body/Jug. 2) Inspect the appliance. Take Photos after test. Any damage to the handle should be visible from external examination of the handle assembly, the kettle should fail electrically safe. Make a note of any leaks. Take photos of damaged parts. Following the test the kettle should be filled to max with water and food dye, boiled and then left for 24h on a sheet of white paper to check for any leakage. If the kettle shows no sign of leakage and failed electrically safe it has passed this drop test.
