The above results show that teacher who has the longer teaching experience will raise more displa y questions, and the younger teachers tend to ask referential questions. The reason is that young teach ers are more motivated in teaching activities and focus on stimulating students' interest by creating a rel axed learning atmosphere. Therefore, they prefer to design more interesting and challenging referential questions. Some of exp erienced teachers still use traditional way to teach reading material. Therefore, this research suggests th at teachers who have longer teaching experience should pay more attention to the balance of the propo rtion of display questions and referential questions through adjusting questioning strategies in order to a chieve a better teaching effect.
