In 2016, 68 percent of U.S. adults used Facebook compared with 69 percent in 2019. Instagram usage rose from 28 percent of all U.S. adults in 2016 to 37 percent in 2019. Twitter usage stabilized with 21 percent of U.S. adults using Twitter in 2016 and 22 percent in 2019.
