Terms and Conditions of Entry1. Admission and entry to and withdrawal from the school1.1 Students will be considered as candidates for admission to the school when the Application Form has been completed in full andreturned to the school with the requisite accompanying documents and the Application Fee has been paid. Admission and entry will besubject to the availability of a place and the student satisfying the admission requirements at the time of application.1.2 Students applying for entry into Early Years classes or any other Junior School class must be toilet trained.1.3 The usual age requirement for admission is based on the student’s age on 1 August of the year in which he/she will enter the school.For Early Years 1 a student must have turned three by 1 August. For Grade 6 a student must have turned eleven by 1 August. OtherGrades will follow a similar pattern in ages.1.4 Parents accept that the student will be asked to take a test or to be interviewed in order to ascertain his/ her English languageproficiency and/or academic level, and will not have the Application Fee returned if she/he is unsuccessful in gaining a place. Parentsagree that responses in all testing must be solely those of the student. If it subsequently becomes apparent that this has not been thecase it will lead to the withdrawal of the offer of a place or removal of the student from the school without refund of any fees ordeposits.1.5 Following any tests or interviews the school may decide to offer the student a place in the school on the condition that he/she attendsspecialised English Language classes in the English for Academic Purposes Program for which different fee structures may apply.1.6 Subject to Clause 1.6.3, before withdrawing the student from the school for any reason the parents will give the Director ofAdmissions written notice at least one term prior to the day on which the student will last attend the school. If suchnotice is not given parents agree to pay the school all fees and expenses due and payable for the whole term during or at the end ofwhich the student is withdrawn and to forfeit their Security Deposit.1.6.1 Parents agree that, in the case of students following the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, withdrawal from thecourse at any time after the end of Term 1 in the student’s Grade 12 year, even with the requisite period of notice, will resultin forfeiture of the Security Deposit.1.6.2 If parents temporarily remove a student who has become ill, the notice provisions under Clause 1.6.1 will not apply. Whethera place at the school will be held open for a student removed due to temporary illness will be at the discretion of the Head ofSchool and subject to such conditions as the school may determine.2. Observance of datesStudents commencing or returning to school must rejoin their boarding houses or classes on the dates fixed for joining or resumingand must not leave school at the end of term until the recognised closing dates.3. Care and good discipline3.1 The school attaches importance to courtesy, integrity, good manners and good discipline and does not tolerate bullying or teasing.Parents will encourage the student to participate in the activities of the school, to attend each school day (unless prevented by fever,infectious diseases or other serious sickness), to be punctual, to work hard, to behave properly, and to support the school’s ethos andvalues and also those of the Kingdom of Thailand.3.2 Parents must declare all significant medical, behavioural, psychological and emotional problems, which might affect the student’s healthand/or ability to learn. Parents must inform the School Principal in writing if the student develops any known medical condition, healthproblem or allergy, or will be unable to take part in games, activities or excursions, or has been in contact with infectious diseases.Parents agree that the student will not attend school if the student shows symptoms of infectious diseases. Students when enteringthe school or where their health is giving cause for concern may be required to have a medical examination. 3.3 Students are expected to participate in physical education, camps, activities and excursions as part of the school curriculum andparents agree that the student in so participating does so at the student’s own risk and that the school shall not be liable or responsiblefor any personal accident or personal injury sustained or suffered by the student or any damage to property howsoever caused (apartfrom the gross negligence of school staff) while the student is participating in such activities. Parents further agree to indemnify theschool from all claims whatsoever and howsoever caused, sustained or suffered by the student while participating in such activities.3.4 The Head of School has the power to impose sanctions including exclusion for non-payment of fees, suspension durin
