With the development of society and the progress of science and technology, the application of ultrasonic distance measurement in practice has become more and more important, such as the measurement of distance when reversing cars, the avoidance of obstacles by robots, and the measurement of liquid height, well depth, pipe length in industry. So the research of ultrasonic distance measurement has very important practical significance.<br>This paper is divided into two parts in the system design, namely, slave and host. The main function of the slave is to process and measure the collected data and send it to the host with the help of nRF24L01. The main task of the host is to receive the ultrasonic wave and display it on the LCD, and to set the parameters of the alarm distance by three keys. When the measured distance is relatively small, the LED will give an alarm. So as to realize the data transmission between the host and the slave as well as the remote measurement.<br>Through the design and implementation of the functions described above, students can deepen their understanding of the theoretical knowledge of single-chip microcomputer, and the system is low-cost and easy for students to make, which can be used as a supplement to school experimental projects.<br>Key words: STC89C52; ultrasound; wireless communication<br>
