With the further development of the concept of quality education, the method of early childhood education also needs to be constantly innovated to meet the development requirements of quality education in the new era. The core concept of quality education advocates facing all students and promoting their all-round development, while appreciation education also advocates facing all students and promoting the development of every student, which is in line with the concept of quality education. Appreciation education is one of the six major educational methods in the world, it recognizes differences, respect for differences, through praise or incentive means to affirm the advantages and strengths of young children, so as to improve children's self-confidence, promote the overall healthy development of young children, so appreciation of education is an indispensable means in early childhood education. However, with the wide application of appreciation education in early childhood education, many problems have come to the fore, so that people question the significance of appreciation education methods. Based on this, this paper analyzes and studies from the four aspects of the connotation and characteristics of appreciation education, the significance of the application of appreciation education in early childhood education, the problems existing in early childhood education and the causes and optimization measures of appreciation education in early childhood education, hoping to solve some problems in early childhood education, improve the quality of appreciation education, and thus promote the development of early childhood education.
