The theory of fairness is the theory that studies the rationality and fairness of salary distribution on the enthusiasm of workers' work. It was proposed by American psychologist Adams in 1967. The theory holds that: the employee's satisfaction with income can affect the enthusiasm of workers' work, and the employee's satisfaction with income depends on a social comparison process, a person not only cares about their absolute income, but also cares about how much their relative income.
