The boat/kayak is made of heavy and well-manufactured plastic with seals that are solid. Each of the plastic rings is molded to the boat and are strong so that they can hold the paddles and possibly an anchor if needed. If you're using an anchor make sure it has no sharp edges.... The boat is roomy and can easily handle two people out for a day of rafting but could fit the three adults along with a child easily. Just make sure and not go over the recommended weight. When filling it has 5 chambers and each is numbered making it easy to know the order you should inflate the boat. I won't lie- it took me about an hour to entirely pump up the boat so I've just kept it inflated for the season and it hasn't needed additional air at all. The chambers once filled have a firm feel. I'm 5'9" and can lay down in the bed of the raft from head to toe. There are also chambers to fill to sit on in the boat so that you don't have to just sit in the bed of the boat. The paddles are made of thick aluminum and are easy to assemble.
