Other drugs known to inhibit EGFR and/ or ERBB2 have shown signs of toxicity to liver and lungs, as well as the skin. Neratinib was tolerated in rats for up to 6 months with a NOAEL of 10 mg/kg/day. In dogs, neratinib was tolerated for up to 9 months, and although findings related to faecal disturbance were found the NOAEL for dogs is suggested as 6 mg/kg/day.
