3.3.6. Heat Treatments: Any required stress relief heat-treatment shall be incorporated in the WPSs. 3.3.7. Post-Weld Cleaning: 3.3.7.1. Cleaning of component shall be performed per cleaning methods and specifications defined on Applied Materials drawings. (Note: Design guideline in Appendix A shall be used by Applied Materials designers to specify appropriate cleaning methods for components of weldment after welding.)3.3.7.2. Components shall only be handled with gloves that meet the requirements defined in section 3.1.7. Components shall be covered and protected to prevent contamination. 3.3.7.3. Special process suppliers selected for component post-weld cleaning shall perform cleaning and packaging in accordance with Applied Materials Specifications on drawings. The supplier shall be listed on the Applied Materials Special Process Suppliers Approval List (AVL).3.3.8. Final Cleaning: Unless otherwise specified, after leak checking the weldments shall be cleaned per Applied Materials Specification 0250-09720, Critical Path Components.3.3.9. Reworking: Weldments with defective welds shall be reworked only with prior approval by the cognizant Applied Materials engineering per procedures defined in Applied Materials GMRM 2-38. Requests for rework shall contain a proposed WPS for the rework and the serial number(s) of the affected weldment(s).
