Music appreciation teaching is an important part of music teaching activities and plays an important role. It can improve students' aesthetic ability, enrich their after-school life, cultivate their sentiment, let their tired brain rest and relax their body and mind. However, in the actual music teaching of junior middle schools, especially rural township schools, there is a great lack of professional music appreciation teaching, and most schools have some problems, Such as: lack of teachers, limited teaching conditions and so on. Therefore, through the preliminary investigation, we can understand the actual situation of the internship school, use some methods of perceiving and appreciating music, stimulate students' inner music imagination, teach students to appreciate music from the perspective of emotion, and improve the music aesthetic ability of middle school students.<br>The main structure of the paper is divided into three parts. The first part mainly expounds the important role of aesthetic ability in music appreciation teaching in junior middle school, and explains from the two aspects of the new curriculum standard, which puts forward the basic concept of "taking music aesthetics as the core" and the requirements to improve the quality of music appreciation teaching, so as to lead to the following. The second part mainly describes the cultivation methods of aesthetic ability in music appreciation teaching in junior middle school, including perceiving music, stimulating students' imagination Teach students the method of appreciating music and creating music. The third part uses practical teaching cases to illustrate. Through teaching in the internship school, formulate systematic teaching plans and steps, and test them according to the teaching results.<br>Through the actual teaching experience, it is concluded that junior middle school students can reach a good level after systematic music appreciation teaching training, and their aesthetic ability has been significantly improved.
