Directed by my plan, I have constructed a firm grounding in various aspects. The single-focused efforts on English-taught curricula have brought a deeper understanding of data mining, business analytics, digital image processing, calculus, statistics, Python, MATLAB, structured programming, computer organisation, linear algebra, object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, and database management. Other areas of study have been on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, data communications and networking, usage of Java and C++ and R languages, and various operating systems. With this foundational content mastery, I obtained strong grades under our school’s rigid evaluation system, awards from mathematical modelling contest, and deepened my comprehension of how advanced big data technologies help reduce enterprises’ burdens, bring people convenience, solve the difficulties in people’s real lives, and the like. This academic background will support my future mastery of courses during postgraduate study. Moreover, my final year project Classifying Patients’ Medical Records Using Deep Learning gave me an opportunity to refine my operation of deep learning techniques frequently applied in data science. Besides, the summer course Manage Your Money without Formulas enabled my improvement in using software like Excel to predict interest rate trends, anticipate market prices and simulate other practical scenarios.
