All along, English vocabulary teaching is based on the traditional teaching mode as the main form of teaching, but with the increasing importance of vocabulary learning in English learning, schools and teachers gradually according to this situation to adjust the teaching model. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that multi-intelligence theory is positive for students to learn English vocabulary by exploring the application of multi-intelligence theory in English vocabulary teaching in primary schools. First of all, this paper explains the origin of the theory of multi-intelligence, and summarizes the current situation of research on the application of the theory to teaching at home and abroad. Experimental studies are conducted through questionnaires and field visits, as well as parallel laboratory classes, and the resulting data are analyzed and summarized. The data show that multi-intelligence theory has advantages in English vocabulary teaching in primary school, which not only enhances children's interest in vocabulary learning, but also effectively improves students' ability to interact.
