The overall difference in the slope

The overall difference in the slope magnitude of ChlSPAD against time (days) after TIO was more pronounced under water restriction (from −0.26 to −0.19) than under control conditions (from −0.14 to −0.11) (Fig. 5A, Table 3). Under water restriction, the magnitude of the slopes was significantly less in Sarnav and Unica than in Désirée (P = 0.06 and P = 0.09 respectively). Conversely, the rates of increment in TB after TIO were significantly higher (P < 0.01) under control (from 1.27 to 1.65) than under water restriction (from 0.54 to 0.93) in all genotypes (Fig. 5B, Table 3) and was higher in Sarnav than in Désirée in both irrigation regimes (P < 0.01 in control and P = 0.07 in water restriction).
