As far as the 195 liters volume goes, that is a recommended volume as a starting point for batch sizing. A BB270 XG has a 257 liters chamber volume. 195 is a 75.9% fill of the 257 liter chamber volume. Just like 177.8 liters would be 75% of the 237 liters 11D chamber volume. Batch sizes can normally range from 72 % to 78 % fill (185 - 200 liters). This has been checked by trial many times at many plants. I usually use about 74% fill for Natural rubber stocks and 76 % for synthetics, re-mills and productives. Of course some compounds are different but these are good starting points. All 270 mixer chambers are checked by measurements to make sure the chamber dimensions are correct. The rotor volumes are checked by submersion in a water bath, then the rotor volume is subtracted from the gross chamber volume to determine the actual chamber volume.
