As is known to all, power generation and distribution of the power supply system as well as consumption of electricity must be completed simultaneously in our traditional power grid. The unsteady and intermittent nature of clean energy (such as wind and solar) has limited our application. In order to keep the power grid running steadily, it is imperative to study the energy storage system, especially the battery energy storage system. Battery-ultracapacitor hybrid energy storage system provides an effective way for renewable clean energy to be connected to the power grid. For the stability of microgrid, we need battery energy storage system to maintain. Battery-ultracapacitor hybrid energy storage system is a kind of energy control device that can effectively control charge and discharge. The continuous development and application of BESS have promoted the development of power grid, especially the intellectualization of power grid.Supercapacitor is a new type of energy storage device, which has the characteristics of short charging time, long service life, good temperature characteristics, energy saving and environmental protection. Hybrid energy storage system is a combination of a number of advantages of battery and super capacitor, this paper in order to improve the output characteristics of power supply and achieve the optimal matching of energy for the purpose, is studied based on super capacitor and battery, super capacitor hybrid battery energy storage system, established the model of the hybrid energy storage system and the controller is studied, in the final analysis the battery performance system.
