6.3 Additional testsVerification of adhesion for aluminised parts. Apply a strip of Tesaband 4651 (approx. 6 cm length) on aluminized parts. Press and care the adhesion at least 2 minutes, then remove quickly. No scratches and/or blistering.• Salt spray test: i.96 hours no corrosion of metal parts allowedii. After 150 hours no damage of aluminized part (reflector, bezel).• Temperature and humidity cycles, 5 of following cycles:i.4 hours T = 85 ± 2° C – humidity 30÷35 %ii.4 hours T = 40 ± 2° C - humidity 90÷95 %iii.4 hours T = - 20 ± 2° Civ.Transfer from one ambient to the following must be made within 3 min.v.Repeat again 5 temperature/humidity cyclesvi.Verify that there are no deformations, cracks, breakage or aesthetic alterationsvii. After one hour at room temperature, humidity 50%, no fogging inside device is allowed. Reflector aluminizing must not show yellowing, bubbling, flakingviii.Check that operating torques of aiming screws are within limitsix.Carry out rain test• Fogging test:i.Put the device in the climatic chamber, T = 20 ± 2 °C, humidity 30 ± 10 %, in same position and configuration as in the vehicle, electrical connection as well. Duration 2 hoursii. Then put the device in climatic chamber, T = 40 ± 2 °C, humidity 95 %. Duration 15 hoursiii.Take out the device from climatic chamber, if needed close drain holes and vent holes, then deep, the lens only, in water at temperature of 10 ± 5 °C for 1 minuteiv. After water deeping the fogging should appear. Dry the outer surface of the lensv.Put the device in the climatic chamber, temperature 20 °C, humidity 30%, in same position as in the vehicle, drain and vent holes open.vi.Check every 30 minutes, device switched off, the presence of fogging and draw on the lens its contourvii. After 2 hours no fogging should remain on the lensviii. After vibration test repeat rain test and immersion test• Resistance to pneumatic pressure (to be carried out after endurance test – chapter 4.1 std 7306)i.Close any drain/vent holes and connectorsii.Blow air inside the device, pressure 40 ± 5 mbar for 30 secondsiii.Check, by immerging the device in water, that there is no air leak from covers, rubber caps, joining between lens and body.iv.Pressure drop should be less than 2 mbar every 2 seconds
