The cured coating shall have a minimum dry film thickness (DFT) of 320 pm. Thepaint system shall demonstrate characteristic of ultraviolet (UV) light resistance.The different types of paint within each paint system shall be compatible with each other and manufactured by the same manufacturer. Successive coats in a paint system, including stripe coats, shall be in contrasting colours to aid identification.Anti-slip coating shall be applied on all wagon floors and staircase / ladder steps and in addition to the anti-corrosion paint to provide hard wearing and slip resistance in wet conditions.All paint shall have minimum outdoor service life of 5 years. The paint surfaces shall not exhibit any mottling, cracking, blistering or other forms of deterioration throughout the service life.Brush paint shall be employed for the painting on site. Paint roller shall be used for painting large flat surface for highly uniform film thickness・No harmful and no health hazard compound shall be presented in any paintmaterial.In general, all floors shall be painted in matt black (00E53) and all the exterior surfaces shall be painted in signal yellow (RAL 1007)・ The Contractor shall submit the specification of paint system to the Engineer for approval.Shock & VibrationAll electronic equipment and components shall be designed to meet the test requirement of BS EN 61373:2010 Railway applications. Rolling stock equipment-Shock and vibration tests.Electromagnetic CompatibilityAll electronic equipment and components shall be designed to meet the Electromagnetic Compatibility (abbr. EMC) requirement in accordance with the Employer's Standard S/RS-rse/DS/08(99) - ^Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC)" and BS EN 50121-3-2.The Contractor shall ensure adequate protection from electromagnetic interferencefor all electronic equipment and components.The Contractor shall submit EMC Plan for the electrical system to the Engineer for Approval.The Contractor shall submit test results/reports to demonstrate compliance of EMC for the Engineer's approval.3.15 Material and Workmanship StandardThe Contractor shall ensure that all constructional details, electrical circuits, cabling and installation of equipment under this Contract shall satisfy the standards of:a. Material and Workmanship Standard for Rolling Stock Mechanical Equipment as listed in Appendix B of this Particular Specification.
