We tested few HMI PCBA boards with a GD microcontroller (GD32E230C8T6). During testing, some incompatibility with the original design was revealed.The problem is pin 1 of the microcontroller (MCU). In the ST microcontroller used in the current design, the function of pin 1 is to connect the backup battery.The battery must provide backup power to the real-time clock of the microcontroller during a power outage (up to several days).The GD microcontroller uses this pin as a normal MCU power input. This quickly discharges the backup battery and resets the real-time clock to zero immediately after a power outage. Please provide a solution to the above problem.
