In the process of travel, one of the most important determinants is the travel mileage. Under the initial setting of travel environment, we have studied the influence of mileage parameter on the strategy evolution. As shown in Fig. 2, it is found that with increasing mileage, the proportion of skilled drivers choosing expressway strategy first decreases slowly, and then increases to 1. The proportion of novice drivers choosing expressway strategy stays at 0 for , and then increases abruptly to 1. This indicates that is a critical value for novice drivers in this setting. The reason for the change in both groups is that the longer the travel time, the greater the time costs. Generally, four hours are a fatigue driving time for drivers [43]. For longer mileage, drivers will choose the expressway with relatively short driving time. This suggests that the mileage parameter has a powerful influence on the evolution of the system strategy, but the changes in short mileage have relatively weak influence.
