In this paper, the land hydrological cycle process is summarized, and the graph of the cycle process of annual average monthly precipitation and monthly runoff growth and decline is drawn. The months in flood season are the growth and generation periods of precipitation runoff, and most months after flood season are the decline and consumption periods of precipitation runoff, which intuitively shows that the water cycle process in hydrological year is a relatively complete land hydrological cycle process. The relationship between monthly precipitation and runoff in four months of flood season is good, and the trend is obvious, while the relationship between precipitation and runoff in other months is relatively poor. The annual rainfall-runoff correlation coefficient of a hydrological year from May to April of the following year is 0.9324, and the correlation is relatively good. Every year from May to October, there is a good correlation between precipitation and runoff in this period, and the correlation coefficient is 0.9426. From November every year to March next year, there is a good correlation between the runoff depth between the upper and lower months, which proves that the runoff in this period is the groundwater attenuation process of precipitation runoff in flood season. This paper provides a useful discussion for the development, utilization and management of water resources according to hydrological year.
