There is still very few special garlic seeder like wheat and corn seeder so far, if any, its cost is very high so that not to be popularized. At present, there are three major technical challenge about the problem. One is spout root identification of garlic clove. The other one is to ensure upright planting. The last one is the match of different speed about garlic clove seeder. The proposed design of vertical planting mechanism is the improvement and innovation of the latter two. Its research focus on how to make the garlic clove upright squeezed into appropriate depth soil layer without damage. The device solved also the technical problem about fixing garlic clove in order to prevent upright direction deflection of garlic clove can not been upright planted. The another advantages of the design is able to control the different speeds match of garlic clove planting. There are several cooperations with each other which including the speed of motor, the speed of the covey belt, the number of the garlic clove clampers, the speed of garlic clove seeder and the interval between adjacent two planted garlic clove. Finally , Many experiments were done to verify the effectiveness and the feasibility of the proposed design. The result of experiments proved that the proposed device can greatly improve the budding rate of garlic clove. Further research should focus on cooperation with the vertical planting mechanical part of garlic planting machine and the other parts. And optimization design should be further researched. Electromechanical integration control strategy should also be further researched. Further research will be focused on electrical control and intelligent identifying technology for garlic clove. The newtechnology of electrical control and intelligent identification should be introduced in the research of advanced garlic seed drill in order to study new methods and new thoughts for strategy of advanced garlic seed drill.
