The Angle corresponding to the rotation of the crankshaft from the injection time to the piston moving to the top stop during the compression stroke is called the oil supply advance Angle. Under certain conditions of rotating speed and oil supply, the oil supply advance Angle with large power and low fuel consumption is called the optimal oil supply advance Angle. Only when the diesel engine works under the optimal injection advance Angle, can the maximum power and the minimum fuel consumption be obtained. However, the optimal advance Angle is not constant, but varies with the engine speed and load. Most of the heavy duty diesel engines are equipped with mechanical fuel injection timing device, also known as fuel injection advance device, on the fuel injection pump. The advactor is fixed at the front end of the camshaft of the fuel injection pump and rotates with the camshaft of the fuel injection pump. When the speed increases, the roller on the flying iron pushes the follower plate to rotate in the direction of camshaft rotation relative to the propeller housing -- an Angle, which is the increased advance Angle, which increases with the increase of speed. The common faults of the pacer are oil seal leakage and follower plate wear. The parts in the advancer work in oil, which has a damping effect on the rotation of flying iron, and the lack of oil will affect the working performance of the advancer. The wear of the curve shape of the driven disk will also change the working performance of the pacer. Therefore, the characteristics of the pacer should be checked when the diesel engine is underpowered at high speed, the smoke color thickens, and the engine overheats. The inspection of the pacer shall be carried out on the test bench of the fuel injection pump. Generally, when the speed is less than 500r/min, the advance Angle is 0. At 1500r/min, the advance Angle is 6.5. ; For the pacer used in supercharged diesel engines, when the speed is less than 500r/rain, the advance Angle is 0o; At 1300r/min, the advance Angle is 5. The advance Angle varies in direct proportion with the change of rotational speed. If the working characteristics of the forerunner have changed, indicating that the surface in contact with the flying-iron roller has been worn, it can be removed and its curved shape can be polished with oil stone to make it return to its original state. Then the pad under the spring seat of the driven disc has a thickness equal to the total amount of wear and grinding, so that the position of the surface remains unchanged. If the pacer is repaired, the pacer should be installed and the oil seal can be replaced to remove the trouble. Retry the load until the working characteristics meet the requirements
