Excess of amino acid, would lead to the tumorcell shrinking or even dying out [6–8].The importance of l-lysine lies in the fact that the body usesit to promote the absorption of calcium from the digestive tractand it is involved in both bone development and the production ofcollagen. It helps in the production of antibodies, it is utilized bymany hormones and enzymes also it is necessary for tissue repair.In a recent worked we reported on the a spontaneous, singlestep synthesis of magnetic nanoparticulate spheres using a combination of positively charged poly-l-lysine and negatively chargediron oxide nanoparticles [9]. In this study, we aim at a new synthesisroute to prepare amino acid modified iron oxide in one step. To ourknowledge, only few studies about the capping of the amino acidson the surface of the magnetic nanoparticles were realized [10,6].This process may have potential applications to synthesize other amino acid capped nanoparticle configurations, including essentialamino acids and some proteins coating. In addition, the synthesizedamino acid-coated magnetic nanoparticles might be applied to cellseparation, diagnosis and targeted drug delivery for cancer therapy
