The process of ecotourism development is affected by non-effective factors such as collective or individual irrationality and information asymmetry. In addition, interest appeals significantly vary across different stakeholders. The value and sustainability of tourism development depend on the game of behavioural strategies between the participants (He et al., 2018). Evolutionary game theory is built on biological evolutionism. Furthermore, the theory uses the percentage of individuals selecting different pure strategies in a group instead of the hybrid strategy in game theory (Su, 2020, Sun et al., 2021). Given the above problem description and a review of literature on the evolutionary game, this study presents the following hypotheses.
