Hence the aim of this paper is to simultaneously simulate the wind time series of the movingpoints on an operating vehicle and the simulation points on a bridge without inducing thediscontinuity problem and computational efficiency problem of the traditional method. The wind spectrum relative to a moving point is presented along with the static fluctuatingwind model and coherence function model. A novel algorithm simulating the fluctuatingwind time series of the vehicle-bridge united system is introduced. Examples are presented toillustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method with a vehicle operating through a simplysupported beam bridge. This method is proven to be of high computational efficiency andaccuracy, and could facilitate the generation of the fluctuating wind velocity of the staticpoints along the bridge and of the moving vehicle.
