My nephew’s first holiday to the Arctic was the delight. The sceneries and the icebergs excited him. Look across the Bering Strait into Russia was something which he would remember forever. It made the journey he had earlier done by rail seemed very ordinary. When he arrived the North Pole, he found nothing excited except for a sign marking the spot. But he did meet some scientists who was studying the melting of the ice and making a life for them among the snowy hills and plains. After a short break he took the local aircraft to return back to Alaska and the sea voyage back home!
