Hi KenThanks for your valuable suggetions on science and time management. Sorry for my late reply because I am trying to figure out a time line to do this project. But first, my current salary is around 1K US dollars, which will increase 20% next year, then another 20% increase the year after, then a significant increase in the third year after being appointed as an attending doctor. I understand it is hard for you to pay around 3K a month to cover the rest of the post-doc salary, but just let me know how much you can offer, I can figure out a way to get some sort of letter to prove I can cover the rest. Since animal model is involved in this project, and I may eventually need FN KO or (some type of ) Integrin KO mouse (only in their fibroblasts), do you agree to let me conduct such experiments in your lab? If so, I may need to start working on ASP first. For this project, I guess a key question is "what's new", since FN is so important in ECM assebmly, people would assume it is important for fibrosis, and since others have proved this in heart fibrosis, I need to find something new--that is why I am also also thinking about integrins. I know animal studies take time and this time I only have one year top, so I need to plan this carefully. Thanks!Jiaoyang
