CAM mechanism can be used for the strict requirements of the follower movement rules, can also be used for the requirements of the follower intermittent movement of the place.. The ratio of start time to stop time and stop times can be determined at will.. Able to start at high speed, accurate and reliable operation..Disadvantages of CAM mechanism:.(1) the accuracy of the convex contour is required to be high, and it needs to be processed by CNC machine tools;(2) CAM mechanism belongs to high pair connection, prone to surface wear, it is difficult to ensure good lubrication. Due to its high specific pressure, in order to maintain the necessary life, the transmission power should not be too large.(3) in high-speed CAM mechanism, the dynamic characteristics of high pair contact are complex and difficult to accurately analyze and design.(4) the follower's stroke should not be too large, otherwise the CAM will become heavy.After understanding these advantages and disadvantages, it lays a foundation for us to make a more objective and rational analysis in the following design, and also provides a reference for us to avoid its disadvantages and make use of its advantages.
