Disappointing
We had 3 nights at the Bay View resort in room 608. It was about a 20-minute walk to the bars and restaurants. Unfortunately, our room was in desperate need of an update. The balcony was rusted away, leaving gaping holes; not a nice place to sit and enjoy the views. The pathways up to the rooms are extremely steep and uneven, making it difficult to get to the rooms; especially for the elderly and less mobile people. As for the hotel room, it was very basic. The safe in the room is not in fact “safe” as it was not attached to anything, it could’ve easily been picked up and taken out of the room. The walls were paper thin, and we could hear the neighbours all night. As for the bathroom – I was less than impressed. The sink smelt of urine and generally felt dirty.
