(v) Risks and opportunitiesThe Supplier shall inform BT of any risk or opportunity in relations to the mass of their scope of supply, as soon as one has been identified. They shall also estimate the probability that this risk or opportunity may occur. For the purposes of this clause, a risk is defined as an event that will lead to an increase in mass, and an opportunity is defined as an event that may lead to a decrease in mass.(vi) The supplier shall explain, and may need to demonstrate, how they plan to validate the mass of their scope of supply, thereby validating their compliance to the contractual mass limit. The mass data of all components must be validated via measurements, and prior to the Declaration of Readiness for first article inspection (FAI, also see chapter 3.6.3 below). To control the quality of mass data, measurements shall respect the following scheme: the first five parts, then the 25th and 50th parts, and then every 50th part thereon forward (100th, 150th, 200th, etc). If a change is introduced with an expected impact of more than 0.5% of the original weight, than the measurement scheme is re-initialized with the first part that includes the change.
