We have been working towards building up the English skills that the students will need in the future with a particular focus on Reading and dealing with new vocabulary. We have also been working on our Zhongkao preparation for next year for both the English and History and Society sections. There are about 13 in the G9-1 class I already have concerns with over their Zhongkao exam as they simply don’t do enough work or show enough accuracy in their classwork. They complete their homework on time but this is so they can go to the library rather than developing their English. I have just given them a History exam and some appear to have done quite well while others didn’t even answer a single question. After the holiday the level of difficulty will increase and I’m concerned some students will not be able to keep up. To help them prepare I’m giving each student a homework pack, and I would ask every parent to make sure the students complete the tasks. They are:
