The Catcher in the Rye is a famous book about rebellious youth written by American writer J.D. Salinger in the 20th century. It tell people some stories about Holden in the tone of youth, and it described a depressed wandering spiritual world of middle-class. This book is mainly about a youth man’s life whose name is Holden. By analysis Holden’s character and it’s reason. It shows dual character of Holden. This paper wants to tell us the importance of social and family environment.
