If exempt, rate all test lines under HORIZONTAL COMPRESSION/CLAMP Section as N/A. [Width dimension between clamps] With the correct surface down, conduct Width compression/clamp testing if:1. [The product is NOT exempt]AND2. [Weight ≥ 70 lb] OR [Volume ≥ 7 ft³]AND3. [Height ≥ 11 in]AND4. [22in ≤ Width ≤ 78in]OR5. Carton is marked with [Clamp] Icon on the width vertical surface which is visible when approached by the clamp truck operator DO NOT follow vendor’s stated [No] clamping instructions EXCEPT for kitchen appliance or air conditioners > 7 ft³ or > 70 lb. which shall be tested according to icons as received. If kitchen appliance or air conditioners > 7 ft³ or > 70 lb. does not indicate that at least one dimension is able to be clamped, test the length dimension here. Apply 1000 lb force (if kitchen or bath cabinet apply 1800 lb force). Hold for 1 minute.• Clamp fixture must not engage more than 54 horizontal inches of the package surfaces to be clamped.• Must use hydraulic fixture if available.
