With increasing data size available and high-speed computing technology becoming possible, big data analysis has a profound impact on the business decision by creating values and driving profit margins. The MBAN program at Sauder School can sharpen my analytical skills in mining and analyzing alternative data and enhance my business intelligence by bridging data analysis with business decisions. In addition, the opportunity of analytical internship offered by the MBAN program allows me to practice analytical consulting and gain invaluable experience by solving real-world business issues. I can get the most out of the MBAN program by combining theoretical learning of data analytics and decision analytics with my hands-on experiences in big data analysis. In addition, I can make a full use of career development provided by Sauder School and its globalized alumni network during the job searching. Further, as students of the MBAN program are from a diverse background, we can learn from each other. I would like to take advantage of my strong background in statistical modelling and programming skills and cooperate with students from other backgrounds as a team to complete case studies, which can greatly improve teamwork skills
