The measurement system will be mounted to the robot end effector such that the confocal converging point is centered at the tool point center. The provided bracket will allow for adjustment such that various nozzles and configurations can be used with the coating thickness measurement device. Thickness measurements will be read by the SCADA system and displayed on the user interface in real time as well as recorded as a part of the data record for the spray operation. The user can also zero the thickness measurement from the SCADA interface for part setup.
