Fig. 1 displays the typical SEM images of as-prepared TiO2 colloidal-assembled rice-like microstructures (TCMs). Seen from Fig. 1a and b, the monodispersed TCMs microstructures with much rough surface attached lots of nanopores and the diameter of about 100–200 nm were composed of large amounts of fairly uniform nanoparticles with the diameter of about 10–20 nm. This unique structure gathering abundant micro-pores on the surface is able to adsorb enough pollutants. This loose and orderly organized morphology may be ascribed to its unique composition ways. When HAc was introduced into suspension solution, they tended to coordination with TBOT to form large numbers of amorphouslike TiO2 colloidal.
