Abstract:<br>Mathematical thought is the soul of mathematics and the essence of solving mathematical problems. At present, the combination of number and shape is one of the common mathematical thinking methods in primary school mathematics teaching. But in the actual teaching, we find that many teachers still focus on logical interpretation and operation, and the combination of logarithm and figure is only a formalized implementation. It leads to students' weariness and even resistance in mathematics learning. Based on the theory and the practice of mathematics, this paper puts forward a series of strategies to better infiltrate the thinking method of combination of number and shape in teaching, so as to give full play to the advantages of the thinking method of combination of number and shape, help students develop their logical thinking ability and feel the unlimited charm of mathematics at the same time.<br>Key words: combination of number and shape, primary school mathematics, teaching application<br>
